Dr. Deonza Talks Health and Wellness with DJ Shannon C

While I was on my most recent trip to Rancho La Puerta, I had the opportunity to connect with a kind, beautiful, and absolutely hilarious Travelling Emergency Room Doctor from Washington DC. We roomed together and had such an amazing time that naturally I asked to interview her for the Ladies Takeover edition of the Big Show. Not only is Dr. Deonza really funny, but she’s also really candid and honest so I knew before it even started that it would be a juicy interview!

Dr. Deonza talked to me about her travels, common preventable things that she sees in the emergency room, how to keep calm under Emergency Room pressure, taking advantage of opportunities, and the story behind the creation of her non profit organisation, Artemis Medical Society, which aims to create a place of support and connection among women of color in the medical industry.
